Organisation DNB

De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) is the Dutch central bank, financial sector supervisor and resolution authority. DNB has a range of duties in the national and European context.         

DNB is a versatile organisation:

  • DNB is a public limited company incorporated under Dutch law. The Dutch State is the sole shareholder.
  • DNB is part of the Single Supervisory Mechanism (SSM), which is responsible for European banking supervision,
  • It is an independent public body with a national mandate for  supervision, resolution and the deposit guarantee scheme (DGS).
