Attention to the correct xBRL CSV submission of EBA reports

Recently, we informed institutions about common errors encountered in the submission of xBRL CSV reports (see the news item of 14 April). In view of the upcoming deadlines for several EBA reports, we would like to draw institutions’ attention to this matter once again.1

Overview of common issues

Incorrectly submitted xBRL CSV reports are not accepted by DNB. An overview of common issues that may result in a report not being accepted is available under User documentation.

This overview is updated on an ongoing basis as new issues are identified. It is intended to provide practical support for the preparation and submission of reports; no rights can be derived from it.

To improve transparency regarding non‑accepted submissions, an incorrect xBRL CSV submission that previously could remain with the status ‘Open, In Progress’ is now, in principle, automatically assigned the status ‘Open, Not accepted’. This allows institutions to identify more clearly when a resubmission is required.

Actions to take in case of non‑acceptance

If a report is not accepted, institutions are requested to first consult the overview of common issues.

Where the issue is not described in the overview, or where the cause remains unclear after consultation, institutions may contact their regular reporting contact person at DNB.

Responsibility for correct and timely submission remains with the institution. Timely submission therefore remains essential in order to allow sufficient time for any corrections prior to the deadline.
