New Solvency II XBRL taxonomy version 2.4.0

EIOPA published version 2.4.0 of the Solvency II XBRL taxonomy on July 15, 2019. A hotfix of the incorrectly working validation rules was published on November 4, 2019. As of the 4th quarter of 2019, the reports must be submitted with this taxonomy. You can find the new taxonomy, validation rules and filing rules on the EIOPA website.

As of this version of the taxonomy, two filing rules have been tightened.
S.21 - Treatment of unreported facts. Facts that do not apply to a report may not be reported as "0" or as an empty string.
IV.3.2 - ISIN and other instrument codes. The prefix CAU / may only be reported in conjunction with one of the four allowed acronyms:

- CAU / INST
- CAU / MAL
- CAU / INDEX
- CAU / ISIN

CAU / {other string} may no longer be reported as of taxonomy 2.4.0. With an example of using CAU / "own description" instead of one of the permitted variants, the report will be rejected upon submission.
For more information, see the EIOPA filing rules document.

New version import file National Staten

In addition to your own XBRL, you can also use the form-based input option via Excel this year for submitting the Nationale Staten. This form has been technically changed from the previous file. When using this method you are obliged to use the latest version. The taxonomy of the Nationale Staten has not changed. The download of the new input file can be found in the DLR.
