Many savers do not look deeply into savings products and banks
A considerable share of savers take savings decisions without first seeking thorough information about the savings product and the bank that provides it (see Figure 1). 40% of respondents did no, or virtually no, research on the savings products in advance. Collecting information about banks is less popular still: 46% of respondents gather no, or virtually no, information. Only a small share of Dutch citizens say that they obtain thorough information about this topic.
