DNB Report: Macroeconomic risks to the financial system

News
Date 30 May 2012

Today, DNB presented its report on current macroeconomic risks to the financial system to the House of Representatives, following a recommendation made by the De Wit Committee in its May 2010 Report.

The House has expressed a wish for a new form of regular information provision by DNB regarding macroeconomic developments linked to developments in the financial sector, as recommended by the Parliamentary investigative committee led by Jan de Wit in its May 2010 report. A similar request has been made to the Netherlands Bureau for Economic Policy Analysis (CPB).

In its report, DNB discusses the risks posed to financial stability and available policy options to counter these risks. In line with the request of the House, the report also discusses advances in the development and use of macroeconomic policy models, with explicit focus on the financial sector. With its report, DNB enclosed its latest semiannual Overview of Financial Stability for further reference.
