Public Awareness DGS

In order to meet the objectives of the deposit guarantee scheme (consumer protection and financial stability) it is essential that depositors are sufficiently aware of the existence of the DGS and its main characteristics. Research from 2017 shows that 54% of the Dutch population is aware of the DGS, so there is room for improvement. In the coming years, DNB will work on enhancing public awareness with the DGS together with the sector.
