Banks must submit quarterly data on the number of accounts, balances and covered deposits. These reports are among others used for the purpose of calculating the contributions to the Deposit Guarantee Fund (DGF). You can find a list of current regulations and publications below.
Regulations for DGS reporting
The Regulation on Statements of Financial Undertakings under the Wft 2011 (Statements Regulation, in Dutch ‘Regeling Staten’) implements, among other things, the requirement for banks to submit quarterly data to enable calculation of the contributions payable into the Deposit Guarantee Fund.
At the end of June 2021, DNB adopted a new amendment to the Statements Regulation. This change will be published in the Government Gazette in early July 2021. First application of this amendment must be for the reporting with reference date December 31, 2021. The current format applies up to and including the reporting with reference date September 30, 2021.
The purpose of the amendment to the Statements Regulation is to shorten the submission periods from six to four weeks. Additionally, insight is provided into the distinction between deposits from corporates versus deposits from other organizations. Furthermore, the reporting for cross-border services will be added to the Statements Regulation.
The DGS reports are submitted on the basis of an XBRL taxonomy. The current XBRL taxonomy (version 1.1.0) will be replaced by a new taxonomy (version 2.0.0) as of December 31, 2021. The template for cross-border services is included in the new taxonomy.
