The public register

De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) keeps a public register listing both payment institutions and payment service providers that have been exempt or have been authorised in another EEA country and are permitted to provide payment services in the Netherlands. It also includes Dutch payment institutions that provide cross-border payment services.

Published: 17 March 2022

The public register specifies which payment services each service provider is permitted to provide and with effect from which date. It also contains information about any restrictions imposed in respect of these activities and shows in which country the payment service provider has its registered office.

For exempt payment service providers, the register makes specific mention of the fact that they are not subject to DNB's supervision.
