Register of covered bonds
In accordance with Section 1:107(3) under n of the Financial Supervision Act (Wet op het financieel toezicht - Wft) and any other applicable laws pertaining to financial markets, De Nederlandsche Bank decides at the request of a bank having its registered offices in the Netherlands to include in a public register a category of bonds issued or to be issued by the said bank as well as to include the issuing bank in this register, if the said bank demonstrates that the bonds can be designated as covered bonds.
DNB also records whether the category of registered covered bonds complies with Article 129 of the CRR. The manner in which the bank demonstrates this is subject to ministerial regulation.
