DNB charges a fee for considering applications for authorisation as an insurer.

The fee applies regardless of whether we issue or reject the application or the applicant withdraws the application, or we cease consideration during the procedure.

Application fee

  • The fee for consideration of an application for Solvency II authorisation is EUR 26,000,
  • The fee for consideration of an application for Basic authorisation is EUR 5,000 for life and non-life insurers.
  • The fee for consideration of an application for Basic authorisation is EUR 1,800 for funeral expenses and benefits in kind insurers.

This one-off fee is specified in Annex 1 to the Financial Supervision Funding Act Financial Supervision Funding Act

Fee for regular supervision

We also charge insurers an annual fee to cover the costs of our regular supervision.
