At the end of 2009/beginning of 2010 some changes were implemented for special financial institutions (BFIs). These were the result of the Netherlands Statistics’ (CBS) information requirement for sectoral accounts and also partly relate to the compilation of the statistics for special purpose vehicles (SPVs) engaging in securitisations based on the applicable ECB Regulation. The main changes are:
- As of the reporting year 2009, more detailed inquiries on domestic items in the annual statements;
- As of the reporting year 2009, addition of forms on the profit and loss account in the annual statements;
- As of 1 January 2010, the implementation of a new BFS (special financial institutions, SPVs) profile, in addition to BFI, which at least applies to BFIs that are also an SPV; for this, position data of the foreign assets and liabilities are requested on a monthly basis.
