User platform for macroeconomic statistics

Statistics Netherlands (CBS) and De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) have jointly set up a consultative structure with frequent users of their statistics.

The platform informs users about recent developments in macroeconomic statistics and advises them on the statistics products and services offered. The platform meets at least twice a year, and reports of its meetings have been publicly available since 2024.

Membership

As the statistics providers, CBS and DNB are represented by several senior officials. Each organisation also provides a senior staff member, who jointly act as secretaries. The users represented on the platform include several central government ministries, a number of universities, the CPB Netherlands Bureau for Economic Policy Analysis, DNB, an employers’ association, TNO and ING. The members appoint a Chair from among their own ranks.
