Effective from 1 September 2021, Peter Blom has been appointed to the Supervisory Board of De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB).
On the recommendation of the Supervisory Board, Minister of Finance Wopke Hoekstra, representing the Dutch State as DNB's sole shareholder, decided on the appointment. Peter Blom becomes the eighth member of the Supervisory Board and has financial sector expertise. His appointment brings the Supervisory Board to full strength.
Peter Blom is currently CEO and Chair of the Executive Board of Triodos Bank, but will step down in May 2021. For his activities as a member of DNB's Supervisory Board he will observe a cooling-off period as regards DNB's banking supervision task.
DNB's Chair of the Supervisory Board Wim Kuijken is delighted about the appointment: “Peter's appointment strengthens our Supervisory Board with his executive experience in the financial sector. We also value his know-how and past performance in the field of sustainable banking, an important focal point for DNB”.
