Timely submission of xBRL‑CSV reports

As of the March reference date, institutions are required to submit their reports based on EBA taxonomies in xBRL‑CSV format¹. This requirement has been communicated previously via messages in the Reporting Service, including the message of 19 December 2025.

In practice, we observe that issues regularly arise in the submission of xBRL‑CSV reports by institutions. These issues may result in a report not being accepted by DNB. In such cases, additional actions are required.

Check the status of your report

If xBRL‑CSV reports are not submitted correctly, the status ‘Open, In Progress’ may remain unchanged and the status ‘Completed’ will not be reached. If this status persists, we request that you contact DNB so that you can submit a resubmission. DNB also monitors the status, but the responsibility for a correct and timely submission rests with the institution.

In addition, an incorrect submission may result in the status ‘Open, Not accepted’. This means that the report has been submitted, but that blocking errors have been identified during DNB’s validation process. You must submit a new report.

Submit reports in a timely manner

To allow sufficient time to identify and resolve any submission issues and to avoid unnecessary pressure close to the deadline, we advise institutions to submit their reports well before the submission deadline.

Common issues

An overview of common issues currently observed in connection with the submission of xBRL‑CSV reports is included with this message. This overview is intended as practical support for the preparation and submission of reports; it is not exhaustive and no rights can be derived from it.
