Regulation on Protected Accounts under the Wft

The Regulation on protected accounts under the Wft (Regulation on Protected Accounts under the Wft) serves to implement Articles 14(6) of the Decree on Prudential Rules for Financial Undertakings (Besluit prudentiële regels Wft) (Bulletin of Acts and Decrees 2006, 519).
The regulation stipulates the conditions a credit institution or branch office of a credit instituton in the Netherlands must meet if it is to be permitted to offer protected accounts. A protected account is one where details on the accountholder's identity remain hidden, although they are known to the bank.
