For fit and proper assessments by DNB and the AFM, it is possible to engage with an external confidential advisor.

A person who is assessed by DNB or the AFM for suitability, propriety and/or reputation can contact an external confidential advisor(s) in the event of:

  1. A complaint about the treatment during the fit and proper assessment process;
  2. A conflict about the review procedure.

The external confidential advisor has no substantive role in the assessment.
