PEP Legislation and Regulations
The laws and regulations of the countries in the Kingdom of the Netherlands also require attention to the PEP. AML regulations require specific attention for a “politically exposed person” (PEP). A PEP is a person who holds or has held a prominent or prominent public position. For example, this could be a politician or someone who holds a prominent position with an international organization. Because of the potential corruption risks associated with the PEP, international standards and laws and regulations require particular attention to these individuals. The Good Practice now published offers supervised institutions concrete guidance on this.
