30-06-2026 New MESREP Excel input templates as of 2026Q2
As of reporting period 2026Q2, the Excel input templates for MESREP have been updated.
The changes relate to the structure of the Excel files and the addition of validations and instructions within the file itself. These are applied while completing the report.
The following changes have been made:
A validation box has been added to each worksheet. This provides signals during completion, including for:
o a non-reconciling reconciliation from opening to closing balance
o negative values where not allowed
o missing entries
o inconsistencies such as duplicate country entries
On the TOC sheet, additional validations and instructions have been included, and certain information has been pre-filled or fixed where possible.
The purpose of these changes is to:
identify errors at an earlier stage
improve data quality at submission
reduce the amount of post-submission corrections
The official validation of the report will continue to take place via the Reporting Service (DLR). The validations in the Excel templates are intended as a pre-check to help identify potential errors in advance.
We request all reporting agents to use the new input templates for reporting period 2026Q2. You can download these Excel files from the reporting obligation in the Reporting Service or from this MESRAP website.
