This has led to fruitful results, including the launch of two pilots in 2024:
- Climate-adaptive business parks in Súdwest-Fryslân
- Scenario study of future-proof living in the Bloemhof neighbourhood in southern Rotterdam
The Working Group on Climate Adaptation, together with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Food Security and Nature, organised the conference 'Working together towards resilient agriculture and nature’ (Dutch) on 22 November 2024. This inspiring conference generated good ideas that will be followed up on in 2025. Planned activities for 2025 include further developing climate resilience information and improving cooperation between mortgage lenders and municipalities.
In addition, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management has taken up the recommendation to make data more accessible by commissioning the CAS Foundation to develop the Dutch Climate Risk Portal. The Working Group's Data Cluster was the Portal's first user group.
A complete overview of the Working Group's progress can be read in the progress report.
