Section 1:107 of the Financial Supervision Act (Wet op het financieel toezicht or Wft) provides that there must be a public register. The register must show what activities a clearing institution may conduct and from what date.
The register must also contain information about any limitations placed on the activities of the clearing institution and about the country in which the institution has its registered office. All clearing institutions (and other financial institutions) holding authorisations are therefore included in the register.
