De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) charges a fee for handling applications for authorisation of clearing institutions.
The handling by DNB of an application for authorisation of a clearing institution entails costs, regardless of whether the application is granted, rejected by DNB or withdrawn by the applicant. These one-off costs are fixed annually by the Ministry of Finance.
Clearing institutions authorised by DNB are charged an annual fee for the costs of ongoing supervision.
