Esther Bunnik neuw Head of the Communications department

Esther Bunnik has been appointed Head of the Communications department with effect from 15 November 2024. She succeeds Ben Feiertag, who is leaving DNB from 1 December.

Since 2010, Esther Bunnik has worked as a communication manager in the public domain: with the Province of Utrecht, at the Drechtsteden municipalities, and, since 2018, with the Association of Netherlands Municipalities (VNG) in The Hague. Her strength lies in translating complex political and administrative policy issues for the general public. The experience she gained at large conglomerate of municipalities and her current role at VNG have taught her what it takes to get a message across into the inner workings of society.

Ben Feiertag leaves DNB after more than 11 years in roles as press officer and head of the Communications Department. He continues his path as an executive coach and retreat organiser.
