New Data Point Model (DPM 2.0) and transition to xBRL-CSV

EBA (in collaboration with EIOPA) has updated the technical architecture of its Data Point Model (DPM). DPM 2.0 builds upon the existing DPM standard and includes several enhancements to better support future EBA reporting frameworks. For reporting frameworks 4.0 and 4.1, EBA will publish descriptions based on both DPM 1.0 and DPM 2.0.

Additionally, there will be a change in the reporting format used to prepare and submit reports. As of reference date December 2025, reporters will be required to use xBRL-CSV, and xBRL-XML will no longer be accepted by DNB, ECB and EBA. Banks must implement necessary system adjustments in time to ensure compliance with the new reporting format by December 2025.
