What is an exchange institution?
An exchange institution provides exchange services, such as exchanging an amount in one currency for another, or paying out an amount for which a credit card, cheque or bill has been used.
What can you find in the register?
Exchange institutions wishing to operate in the Netherlands must have a licence or exemption from DNB. The register lists all exchange institutions that are active in the Netherlands.
The register is updated every workday at 06:00 AM.
How do you search the register?
In the first box, select a type of exchange institution. In the second box, type the name of an institution or part of the name, and click ‘Search’. You can also leave this box empty to get the complete list. Clicking a search result will take you to a detail page with more information about the exchange institution.
