One of our statutory duties includes the compilation of statistics for the Dutch balance of payments (BoP) and the Dutch international investment position (IIP). DNB is also responsible for compiling statistics concerning among others Dutch Special Financial Institutions, Financial Vehicle Corporations engaged in securitisation transactions (FVC’s), investment funds and institutions from the “other financial institutions” category.

Institutions are assigned to reporting categories based on the information in their application form. The reporting category specifies a reporting entity’s reporting obligations, including the manner and frequency of reporting.
