23-03-2026 DNB publishes information on My DNB about the sector classification of counterparties in statistical reporting

DNB has published on 20 March 2026, an Excel file containing the sector classification of Dutch financial institutions on My DNB / Reporting Service (under the button ‘Tegensectorinformatie S12’). This list will be updated quarterly.

You are required to use this information in the MESREP reports to ensure that the correct sector of your counterparties is reported when they concern Dutch financial institutions. 
If you have classified a counterparty in an incorrect counterparty sector in previous reports, we ask you to set the corresponding amounts to zero in the line with the incorrect counterparty sector and record them in a new line with the correct counterparty sector using the ‘Rectifications’ column.

If you have questions regarding the classification of a counterparty that does not appear on the list, you may contact your contact person at the Statistics Division.
You will receive more information about the entry into force and application of the sector list from your contact person.
