Supervision consultation

DNB is consulting a new policy statement: Consultation Policy Statement application SREP guidelines on fund managers. With this policy statement, DNB applies the EBA and ESMA SREP guidelines concerning investment firms (EBA/GL/2022/09) in the exercise of its SREP competence in relation to investment firms and Dutch managers of alternative investment funds and managers established in the Netherlands of undertakings for collective investments in transferable securities that have permission to provide/perform certain investment services/activities. This policy is of importance because it provides equal treatment of investment firms and the aforementioned fund managers by DNB in the exercise of its SREP competence.

With this policy statement, the following existing policy statement will be withdrawn: Beleidsregel ICAAP beleggingsondernemingen en beleggingsinstellingen Wft 2015.

Adoption and publication of policy statement

After receipt, weighing and processing of the consultation responses DNB will decide on the adoption and publication of the final version of the consulted policy statement. DNB will communicate on the outcomes of this consultation through dnb.nl, including a feedback statement in which DNB (on an aggregated level) responds to the consultation responses. DNB will publish the content of the consultation responses on the website of DNB and where applicable including the name of the organisation. In case written consent is given, DNB shall publish the consultation responses including name and/or function.
