The Wfbb provides rules relevant to the compilation of the Dutch balance of payments. Article 7 of the Wfbb requires residents to submit information and data to DNB that are relevant to the compilation of the Dutch balance of payments, in accordance with the instructions issued by DNB.
Pursuant to the Wfbb, DNB provides information to the Minister of Finance for the purpose of determining the general policy with respect to the Netherlands' financial relations with other Member States and third countries.

De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) imposed a fine of €29,700 on trust International Trust Services B.V. (ITS) on 24 November 2025. The fine was imposed because ITS failed to commission an audit in 2022 concerning the period from January to December 2021.
