The development of the size and distribution of residential mortgages on the balance sheets of financial institutions in the Netherlands.

Collectively, Dutch households have more than €800 billion in mortgage debt, or nearly 77% of gross domestic product (GDP). The vast majority of this debt is held by Dutch financial institutions.

DNB maintains these data. They show that banks traditionally sell the most mortgages. However, other financial institutions, such as investment funds and insurers, are becoming more and more active in the mortgage lending market.
This dashboard contains various data related to mortgage loans, such as the size and distribution of mortgage loans on the balance sheets of all Dutch financial institutions, bank mortgage lending rates, and developments in banks' credit underwriting standards (Bank Lending Survey).
