Investment firms and fund managers
This page contains news, important correspondence, and user documentation regarding supervisory reporting. This page is specifically intended for investment firms and fund managers.
Institutions are legally required to report to De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB). The quality of the data it receives is of great importance to DNB. Therefore, DNB requests institutions to take additional measures to ensure the quality of their prudential reports. Without reliable and accurate data, DNB cannot adequately perform its supervisory tasks. High-quality reports help us to carry out our role as a supervisor effectively and efficiently. Institutions are required, under Article 3:72 of the Wet op het financieel toezicht (Wft) and the Investment Firm Regulation (IFR), to submit timely and accurate reports. Errors and inconsistencies within supervisory reports are discovered too frequently. When an institution does not submit its reports on time or when data quality is not up to the expected standard, DNB is empowered to take enforcement action.
For more information on the timeliness and quality of supervisory reports, we would like to refer to the previously published Good Practices on data quality. In this document DNB provides investment firms, managers of investment institutions, and institutions for collective investment in transferable securities with an overview of good practices for prudential reports. DNB expects institutions to take sufficient measures to ensure the timeliness and quality of reports.
On this page, you will find the latest news, important correspondence, and extensive user documentation to help you meet your reporting obligations.
