Register of exchange institutions

Section 1:107 of the Financial Supervision Act (Wet op het financieel toezicht or Wft) provides that there must be a public register. The register must show what activities an exchange institution may conduct and from what date.

The register must also contain information about any limitations placed on the activities of the exchange institution and about the country in which the exchange institution has its registered office. All exchange institutions (and other financial institutions) holding authorisations are therefore included in the register.
