A bandwidth will be attached to a declaration of no-objection (DNO) for the acquisition and ownership of a qualifying holding.

With a bandwidth DNO, the size of the qualifying holding may vary within the specified bandwidth without the need to apply for a new or amended DNO. When you are applying for a DNO as referred to in Section 3:95 of the Financial Supervision Act (Wet op het financieel toezicht – Wft) or QLF approval under MiCAR, you will have a choice between different bandwidths. The bandwidth must correspond to the holding that is actually to be acquired. In this respect, please also see the factsheet on ‘qualifying holding’ below.

The following bandwidths are available:

  • 10-20%

  • 10-30% (only for holdings in payment institutions and MiCAR entities)

  • 10-33%

  • 10-50%

  • 10-100%
