After the request for registration as a crypto service provider has been submitted via My DNB, together with the applications for assessments, we check whether it is complete. We will provide written confirmation, as well as indicating the name of the contact person at DNB for the registration procedure.
As soon as we have received all the necessary information, an assessment team will examine the content of the registration request to determine whether you, as a provider of crypto services, meet the legal requirements. If we have any questions, we will contact you to request further information. As soon as the necessary information has been assessed, you will receive notice of a decision confirming whether or not you will be registered.
There are two new regulatory developments of relevance to banks regarding their crypto asset exposures. Firstly, the Capital Requirements Regulation 3 (CRR3) includes a transitional regime on banks’ direct crypto asset exposures.
