On 4 February 2021, Olaf Sleijpen held a presentation at the CFA/VBA webinar “COVID-19: the big reset?”. He addressed the economic impact and the policy response to the COVID-19 crisis in the Netherlands. While the economic outlook he presented showed a substantial economic impact of the pandemic, it was less severe than previously feared. He then touched on the subject of pandemic stress tests, which showed a significant but manageable impact of the pandemic on the capital position of Dutch banks.
